What is it?

It’s a Monthly drawing and painting challenge using pen, watercolour, neocolors2, water based mixed media., with assistance from me if you want/need it and an online community to share the journey with.

Project/Challenge - At the beginning of each month I will share a reference photo, you will have lots of time over the month to have a go at drawing and painting it.

Video Tutorial - I will also share a video of how I have approached the subject matter with either detailed step by step demo or tips, tricks and techniques to help and inspire.

Check in - Mid month I will check in to see how everyone is getting on with the challenge and to see if anyone needs any help.

End of Month Review - Zoom call near the end of the month to see how we got on what we liked, learnings, feedback if wanted and then get ready for the next months challenge!

Why have I created?

Drawing & Painting has been so important to me since a child, it was my safe space/my sanctuary. For the last 20 years I have been sharing that with students in person from my private studio and now from a village hall,.

I wanted to be able to share with more people worldwide the joy and benefits of drawing and painting. I didn’t want to create a big, expensive course that never got completed and that artists felt alone & received no feedback. I wanted to create a space where I could help artists of all levels find themselves through drawing and painting, to be encouraged and to grow in confidence.

Drawing & Painting is learnt through action not through watching and I think a monthly project is the perfect way to learn! Our first project is Blue Shutters & Geraniums I take you through from beginning to end with this one from Drawing to Painting to Decorating!!

See below for art materials that I use as I get asked, but please use whatever you have. If using white paper just put on a mid wash where my tan paper is! The Key Objective is to have a go, learn and have fun, not to be perfect or exactly the same.

What does it cost?
